In theory sure. In reality it doesn't make my list because it's either impossible or really expensive to find an unmolested version......and I'm kind of cheap

I seem to recall that you can't just convert a regular NB to a club sport as they had unique front hubs or something like that......

As far as specific models - the 99 Sport is the lightest NB with a Torsen and the 01 LS is the lightest VVT version with a Torsen. There's probably a preferable version of the MR2 and MRS as well, but I've never bothered to learn. See there is a method to my madness.....

On the topic of NB Miatas ......I'm currently halfheartedly watching for an NB chassis for cheap - needs ABS and no rust. Preferably with a blown motor......but that's another story ;)

Firefly won't be out for a bit - the 30 year-old 170hp 5.0L died and is being replaced.

.... with a freshened 320hp 5.7L.

See you in a month or so.

No additional weight. Maybe actually less weight - the strokes are the same, but the 350 has more aluminum piston and less iron cylinder sleeve. If only I had a 400 kicking around....

Yup- I'll do it tomorrow (tonight?). I haven't been bothering because there's only two drivers - you and I actually - that have all 7 races..... So needless to say we're currently winning
