Buncha rookies.........doesn't anyone ever read the rules
December 21, 2014
Bulletin 2015-01
200 Tire-Wear Requirement
Application: ASN Canada FIA National AutoSlalom
Regulations, Appendix E, 13.3.A1
Effective Date: January 1. 2015
Bulletin:
In Street and Street Touring classes, 13.3.A1 of the Class
Preparation Rules indicates a 200 tread-wear limit for tires
to be eligible for competition effective January 1, 2015. This
requirement is delayed to January 1, 2016.
Rationale:
The NSC, in consideration of the number of competitors who
presently have 140 tire-wear tires and a request from our
CAC presenting sponsor, Toyo Tires, have delayed the date
for implementation for the new requirement as outlined in
13.3.A1 of the class preparation rules.

Are sure your name isn't "Burrows". Does autocross have a role for an "agitator"?
Does refusing to go to the gym count as resistance training?
Re: Thoughts on the new 200 treadwear rule?
I just wrote and then deleted an "agitator" post.
Here's the alternative for interest sake:

Re: Thoughts on the new 200 treadwear rule?
I've been following that thread for the last 6 months. It's pretty much the same argument that is on every autocross forum.....including this one. Care to explain what the "alternative" is?
P.S. I'll be running my perfectly legal 140TW Toyos next weekend at the UBC event

"alternative" to the post I deleted. (It was dumb and that's all you need to know)Brain wrote:Care to explain what the "alternative" is?

I support going one more year to allow burn up of existing tires.
Mine are 200 so it doesn't matter to me.
