Are you sure?
I usually keep my stock parts. Makes selling the car way easier. But of course you hardly ever change cars
Also makes it easier if you get an inspection because the cops think you are some ricer kid driving around on the street in your race car. Most obvious one they go for is the seatbelt - harness not street legal.

You'd make more money selling a "stock" car when the time comes, rather than a "modified" car. Sell the speed parts later when the car is gone.

Yes I have a reputation and while building that reputation I have experienced many cars either my own or other peoples.
Ultimately I have settled on the MX5 NC. Maybe there are better cars but IMO, for the money (used), it doesn't get much better and I owned a GTR (which, for the money, is an incredible car)
This car is on a one way trip to getting more fun and faster then the average guy, who knows what he's doing, will ever need.
...plus I don't live on a farm with a barn that I can start a pile of "one day maybe" parts.
Maybe there's someone out there that thought their car would never go back to stock who now needs the parts?

I've owned a red Mustang, yellow Corvette, a yellow race decaled Subaru rally car, a bright red GTR and a pimped out G37xs and have had one speeding and one "take the tint off your windows" ticket in all those 12 years. (and sold or traded all those cars with all the stuff on them without a problem ...except for that stupid Subaru)
...but maybe this car will be the end of that streak.
Ask me for the full list of 20+ one day.
It starts with bright orange Capri with a racing stripe and a slammed Dodge T roof Aspen with blacked out windows and house rattling rumble and I never lost my license or even came close.
What's wrong with kids today?

Funny getting advice on stock parts from Greg. I picture every mechanical device on the property being tweaked. V8 lawnmower, washing machine spins double the normal speed, dishwasher measured in Kelvin to the exact optimum temperature, etc

I excel in reducing resale value, that's why.
