Looking for AutoX car
Re: Looking for AutoX car
How much you want to spend?
Re: Looking for AutoX car
I am looking for a car to run in Stock Class then transition to STS in a few years. Here are my thoughts, comments are wanted please:
Miata 90-96 in ES then to STS ($3.5-5k)
Civic 89-91 in HS then to STS (1k+)
CRX 89-91 in HS then to STS (1-1.5k+)
Mazda 3 in HS then to STF (3.5-5k)
Ford Focus in HS then to STF (2-2.5k)
*rough pricing...
This is some what of a budget build, almost everything on list is readily available. I want to keep the car under $3500ish...one thing to keep i mind is that I drive three hours to events and need to be safe/comfortable. I just want to be competitive and events and goto Packwood with no drama (legal with no questions).
*of course I am looking for something already built etc. too...

Re: Looking for AutoX car
You want either a Civic or a Miata as listed. The others are not as fast.
Lethal Locost - street legal roller skate
Fiendish Firefly - 5.7lbs of engine in a 1lb bag
Crusty Chevy - shortboxed and dropped, potato potato
